Domestic violence survivor inspired to become paramedic
A Logan mother has been reunited with the paramedics who saved her life after a vicious domestic violence attack.
Luanne Willingham was left fighting for her life with serious head injuries after being attacked by her former partner at their Rochedale home in 2001.
Ralph Latimer and Cheryl Stace not only rescued her that day but set her on the path to become a qualified paramedic herself.

Today, 18 years later, Ms Willingham met the now-retired paramedics properly for the first time.
"Not only did you save my life but you actually gave me a life, you gave me a future and set me on the path to now wear this uniform," she told the pair.
Her mission is to help others in need, and hopes sharing her story will inspire other women.
"Cheryl's voice has been in my head for 18 years, 'Luanne squeeze my hand, Luanne open your eyes', and to hear that voice again, it was just amazing," Ms Willingham said.
