Queensland bus driver praised for evacuating 30 children off burning bus
Dozens of children have escaped a bus which burst into flames and sent smoke billowing across a Queensland motorway.
The bus driver, a man in his 50s, is being hailed a hero after all 30 children on board the bus were safely evacuated.
The kids were moved onto a separate bus while the driver was taken to hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.

The inferno brought weekend traffic to a standstill on the M1 at Helensvale. 9News
The company Gold Coast Coachlines has praised the bus driver's response during the incident and said he is doing well.
The inferno closed multiple lanes and brought weekend traffic to a standstill on the M1 at Helensvale at 10am (AEST) on Saturday morning.
The cause of the fire is still unknown but it is believed to have started in the engine bay compartment and spread to the cabin.
An investigation has been launched into the fire.
