Quake hits Qld southern coast

A magnitude-four earthquake has struck off Queensland's southern coast.

The quake rumbled between Harvey Bay and Noosa just after 11am on Friday, and comes about a fortnight after a series of tremors rattled the state's southeast in late July.

A Geoscience Australia spokesman said Friday's event was being treated as an aftershock to these earlier tremors. There are no reports of damage.
