Qld lady's handbag snatched in drive-by

Two thieves have been arrested after a 79-year-old woman was injured during a brazen drive-by purse-snatch on the Gold Coast.

Police allege the two, aged 17 and 20, drove past the elderly woman at Carrara on Sunday afternoon, one leaning out the window to forcibly pull the woman's handbag from her shoulder as she was walking with a friend.

The woman suffered bruising to her wrist.
