Queensland man dies in fiery car crash

A man has died after his car rolled several times before bursting into flames in the Queensland town of Yarwun.

The 34-year-old was driving along Calliope River Road late on Friday night when his car left the road and burst into flames.

He died at the scene.

Earlier, a young Brisbane woman died following a week-long battle in hospital from injuries sustained in a serious car crash in Brisbane.

The 22-year-old was driving along Compton Road in Underwood late on Monday night when she crashed into a car, suffering the fatal injuries.
