Qld woman dies after car crashes into pole

A woman has died after her car hit a pole and a parked vehicle in Queensland's Wide Bay region.

Police say the 40-year-old woman's car veered off the road as it travelled along Nash St at Gympie about 8.15am on Thursday.

She was taken to Gympie Hospital but died a short time later.

Police say the woman had a pre-existing medical condition that may have contributed to the crash.
