Qld woman, 70, trapped under car

A 70-year-old woman has been rushed to a Brisbane hospital after getting trapped under a car for more than an hour.

Paramedics were called to a home at Deception Bay just before 1.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday to find the woman, who suffered multiple fractures to her pelvis and femur, stuck underneath the vehicle.

Fire crews used a piece of machinery called the "jaws of life" as well as airbags to winch her to safety and she was transported in a serious condition to the Royal Brisbane Hospital at about 2.20pm.
