Qld wants quicker mine objection process

Queensland's government is worried the legal process for objections to mine projects is taking too long.

Natural Resources and Mines Minister Anthony Lynham has written to Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath about the issue, due to mining sector concerns about the influence of green groups.

"The issue is to try to make the process more efficient, not to stop people objecting," he said.
