Qld ute allegedly hits speed camera car

Queensland police are looking for the driver of a ute who allegedly struck a speed camera vehicle in Townsville and drove off.

The ute hit a stationary speed camera vehicle in Pimlico on Sunday evening and then drove away heading inbound on Kings Road, police say.

The officer inside the car was not injured and the car suffered minor damage.

The ute is described as a white Ford with a dark coloured tool box across the tray.

Police believe it was last seen turning right into Townsend Street heading toward Charters Towers Road.
