Qld to keep power bill help for seniors
AAP
Queensland's seniors and pensioners will continue to get help paying power bills and also receive some additional sweeteners in the state budget.
Treasurer Curtis Pitt says funding for seniors' electricity rebates will continue despite the state's need to rebalance its finances to cope with proposed changes to commonwealth funding in the federal budget.
"We will be guaranteeing this funding," Mr Pitt said.

"We are not going to be like the previous (LNP) government, people who abandoned seniors in favour of looking after their mates."
Mr Pitt also said there would also be other additional assistance packages supporting seniors in his first budget in July.
