Qld teens threw concrete at bus: police

Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify two unruly teens who hurled lumps of concrete through the window of a north Queensland bus, endangering dozens of lives.

A paver and tile were thrown from the side of Ingham Road, Townsville, and shattered a window of a passing bus full of passengers.

Northern Region Acting Assistant Commissioner Paul Taylor said it was lucky nobody was hurt or killed in the incident on Saturday night, which highlighted the need for some parents to take more responsibility for their children.

"What I'm asking is for parents to take an interest in their kids and what they're doing especially when they're roaming the streets at night," he told AAP.
