Qld teens push and rob elderly woman

An elderly woman has been pushed to the ground and robbed by teenagers while she was walking in Cairns.

The 78-year-old was strolling along Rowe St at Earlville about 2pm on Monday when a teenage boy on a bicycle pushed her over, causing her to fall to the footpath and drop her items.

A second teen then snatched her purse before the pair rode away.

The pair are described as being of Torres Strait Islander appearance.

The woman suffered bruising, grazing and swelling to her knees.
