Qld teens charged with bashing cab drivers

Three teenagers who allegedly bashed four taxi drivers in a series of attacks on Brisbane's northside have been charged.

It's alleged a 15-year-old Redbank Plains boy and a 16-year-old Red Hill boy were involved in separate attacks on drivers in November.

Police say a female called the cabs to addresses at Keperra where the boys punched the drivers through the window before fleeing on foot.

The Redbank Plains teen plus another 14-year-old boy from Stafford were also allegedly involved in two assaults in the early hours of December 5.

The pair are accused of punching a driver in the face at Gaythorne, breaking his tooth.

They then bashed and stomped on the face of a 57-year-old man standing outside a unit complex, stealing his phone, police say.

The trio face multiple assault and robbery charges and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
