AAP
Police have used tyre spikes to stop a teenage driver who tried to evade officers near Ipswich, west of Brisbane.
Officers say a 17-year-old tried to outrun them at Redbank Plains about 6pm on Tuesday, and was spotted again in bushland at nearby Ripley about an hour and half later.
After police used tyre spikes to stop his car, the driver reversed towards an officer forcing him to jump out of the way before the car slid down an embankment.
