Two people are nursing burns from separate incidents in regional Queensland, including an ill-fated attempt at making a backyard fire cannon.
A teenager suffered burns to his arms, face and neck while trying to make a fire cannon from a wheelie bin at a Bundaberg South home.
The 17-year-old was taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a serious condition just after midnight on Friday.

About three hours earlier a 54-year-old man was burnt while pouring petrol on to a timber fire at a property at Tolga, a town on the Atherton Tableland in far north Queensland.
He sustained 20 per cent partial thickness burns to his face and legs, paramedics said.
He was airlifted to Cairns Base Hospital in a serious condition.
