Qld striking death case adjourned in court

A man accused of killing a Sunshine Coast resident after punching and stomping on his head has had his court case adjourned until next month.

Scott Frank Williams, 33, was found dead in a bed at a Buddina unit on Sunday afternoon, with police saying he died from a severe head injury caused by blunt force.

Brandon John Mischewski, 39, was charged with unlawful striking causing death on Wednesday night.

Mischewski failed to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday, when the case was adjourned until February 3.

Mr Mischewski did not apply for bail.
