Qld senior sergeant suspended from duty

A senior Queensland police officer has been suspended from duty while a string of serious allegations levelled against him are investigated.
The senior sergeant from the state's southern policing region is accused of fraud, disobeying directions, providing false and misleading information and failing to comply with police policy while on duty.
Queensland Police issued a statement about the 51-year-old's suspension on Friday but said this didn't mean any allegation against the officer had been substantiated.
