Qld security guard found guilty of assault

A security guard who punched a man and broke his jaw outside a Gold Coast hotel in February 2014 has been found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm.

Dennis Hecta Tipene Faulkner was convicted on Wednesday in Southport District Court of punching Sydney man Dominic Beinke outside the Grand Chancellor Hotel on February 9, 2014.

Faulkner has been denied bail and will face sentencing on Friday.
