Qld schoolie has lucky escape after fall

A teenager has had a lucky escape after falling three storeys from a balcony during schoolies celebrations on the Gold Coast.

The 17-year-old reportedly fell at a Palm Avenue hotel in Surfers Paradise early Wednesday.

He is believed to have suffered a broken arm but a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman wouldn't comment on the boy's injuries.

In 2012, Brisbane teenager Isabelle Colman died after she fell from a Surfers Paradise high-rise during that year's schoolies celebrations.
