Qld's jobless rate eases to 6.2 per cent

Queensland's unemployment rate has eased, dropping to a six-month low in a positive sign for the state's economy.

The sunshine state's jobless rate has fallen to 6.2 per cent in October, down from 6.3 per cent in September, the Australian Bureau of Statistics employment figures show.

The unemployment rate is at its lowest since May but is still higher than the national rate which sits at 5.9 per cent.
