Qld robber uses shotgun in crime spree

An armed robber has gone on a crime spree on the Sunshine Coast, using a shotgun to blast his way into a tavern before using it to threaten staff at two other businesses nearby.

Police say he used the weapon to break into a Caloundra tavern where he tried but failed to steal cash from an ATM about 1.30am on Monday. He later used the shotgun to rob a Glenview service station, and a fast-food outlet on the Bruce Highway in the Glasshouse Mountains.

He remains on the run and police are looking for a dark green/grey Holden Commodore, with bumper bar damage, that was used in the crimes.
