Qld road and rail projects join key list

Infrastructure Australia has added several Queensland road and rail projects to its priority list.

The independent adviser has identified upgrades to the Cooroy to Curra and Mackay Ring Road sections of the Bruce Highway as crucial for national connectivity.

The revised Infrastructure Priority List, which was released on Saturday, also identifies additional transport capacity between Brisbane and the Gold Coast as a new priority initiative.

It also points to the remaining sections of Ipswich Motorway between Rocklea and Darra, and preservation of the corridor for a Salisbury to Beaudesert rail connection.
