Qld police pair targeted by drivers

Two police officers have been targeted by dangerous drivers on the Sunshine Coast in separate incidents just minutes apart.

In the first lucky escape in Tewantin, just after 12.30am on Friday, a driver who was being pursued by police deliberately reversed in to the patrol car before pulling away at speed.

Just five minutes later, an officer who had come to the aid of his colleague and damaged car was forced to take cover when a van driver accelerated towards him as he attempted to pull the vehicle over.

Queensland police say they are yet to trace the drivers in both incidents.
