Qld Police officer stood down

A senior Queensland police officer has been stood down for allegedly behaving inappropriately while off-duty.

The 41-year-old female sergeant from Operations Support Command, who is understood to be stationed in Western Queensland, has been stood down from official duty while she faces an investigation.

"In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct," Queensland police said in a statement.

The allegations against the officer are yet to be substantiated, the statement added.
