Qld police arrest 27 during ice operation
Police have arrested 27 people during a four-month ice operation in one of Queensland's most affected communities.
A 16-year-old is among the men, women and children who will face a total of 153 charges including trafficking and supplying ice and cannabis in Cunnamulla.
Operation North Twinzer was launched last October culminating in multiple drug raids conducted across Cunnamulla on Saturday and Sunday.
Police will allege they located ice, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, ammunition and mobile phones following the search of 27 properties.
"While the community and police will continue to work together, we are also looking at programs and education for the young people in the district to curb this type of behaviour," said Detective Inspector Kerry Johnson, from the South West Police District.
