Qld nursing home resident back in court

A 79-year-old man will be back in court on Tuesday after allegedly trying to kill a fellow resident at a Brisbane nursing home.

Guy Joseph Wohrnitz made no application for bail when he appeared in Pine Rivers Magistrate's court charged with attempted murder last week.

He's accused of trying to kill a 76-year-old resident during a fight at a nursing home at Sandgate, in the city's north.

The stoush allegedly left the resident with wounds to his face and neck.

Wohrnitz will appear in Sandgate Magistrates Court.
