Qld men rescued from stranded boat

Four men have been rescued from a stranded boat that ran aground in Queensland's Moreton Bay.

Water police were called about 9.15pm on Saturday after the nine-metre motor boat struck rocks off St Helena Island Anchorage and began taking on water.

Police say a rescue vessel was unable to get close, and the men, aged 39 to 57, used their boat's dinghy to reach safety.

No one was injured and the damaged motor boat was towed to shore.
