Qld man takes hitchhiking to new level

A man has been fined for hitching a ride on the back of a B-Double truck in Cairns.

The 34-year-old had hopped onto the back of the truck while it was stopped at traffic lights on Sunday night, with the driver unaware he had acquired a passenger.

Police say it was lucky officers caught him before tragedy struck and fined him $227.
