Qld man stabbed repeatedly in his sleep

A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a sleeping man at a home in central Queensland.

Paramedics were called to the Lammermoor home about 1am on Saturday after receiving reports of an assault.

They transported the 25-year-old victim to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with multiple stab wounds to the face and body.

Police have since charged a 20-year-old man, known to the victim, with attempted murder.

He will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.
