A 26-year-old man has had a lucky escape from serious injuries after being stuck under a house being moved in Brisbane's south.

Emergency services were called to Tarragindi about 1.30pm on Monday following reports a man had suffered a trauma injury while he was helping to move a house.

Queensland Ambulance Service operations supervisor Damian Gonzalez said the 26-year-old became "wedged between the house and the removal trailer".

"It appears that he sustained serious pelvic injuries as a result of the pressure applied by the house coming down on him," he said.

But Princess Alexandria Hospital staff downgraded his condition from serious following initial treatment and scans, with one saying "he's been very lucky".
