Qld man run over by runaway truck

A man in his 30s has suffered serious chest and leg injuries after he was run over by his own truck on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Initial reports suggest the man started chasing his runaway vehicle down a hill at Upper Coomera when he was run over just after 11am on Thursday.

He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, while the truck came to a stop after crashing into a set of traffic lights.
