Qld man punched after disturbing intruders

A man has been repeatedly punched in the face during a home invasion southwest of Brisbane.

Police say the 56-year-old was attacked after he and a woman, 36, disturbed two intruders robbing an Inala house on Monday night.

He had come to the woman's aid when one of the intruders attempted to snatch her bag, which contained money and personal items.

He was taken to hospital for treatment of facial injuries.

No arrests have been made.
