Qld man jumps from his own car

A man has jumped from his moving car after allegedly being robbed at knifepoint and forced to drive two men who were trying to escape police south of Brisbane.

The pair, aged 22 and 26, had abandoned their own car at Logan Hypderdome on Sunday night after allegedly failing to stop for officers.

They are accused of jumping into another car and assaulting the 31-year-old driver before he jumped free.

Police used tyre spikes to stop the vehicle at Ormeau and the two men were charged with deprivation of liberty, assault and unlawful use of a vehicle.
