Qld man faces 46 child porn charges

A far north Queensland man is now accused of almost 50 child pornography offences after being charged with extra matters.

Last November the 50-year-old from Ingham, south of Cairns, was charged with 20 serious offences over claims he used a file-sharing network to collect, distribute and possess child exploitation material.

Following further investigations, including an analysis of a computer and storage devices allegedly found at the man's house, an extra 26 charges were laid against him by Queensland's Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) on Tuesday.

He is due to appear in Ingham Magistrates Court in relation to the additional charges on Thursday.
