Qld man dies after being punched to head

A man who was allegedly punched in the head by his partner in outback Queensland has died.

The 51-year-old man was at his home in Cloncurry on Tuesday night when a fight broke out.

It's alleged the woman struck him in the head, causing him to fall and hit his head on the cement driveway.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition and died on Friday.

The 32-year-old woman had faced Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with grievous bodily harm and was remanded in custody.
