Qld drivers injured in separate crashes

A man is in a critical condition after crashing into a tree in regional Queensland.

A passing motorist discovered the 22-year-old, whose vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree near Clermont, around 3am on Sunday morning, police say.

The man was taken to hospital in a critical condition and will be flown to Brisbane for further treatment.

Meanwhile police are investigating a serious crash at Mount Marrow after two cars travelling in opposite directions collided head on at around 2am on Sunday.

A 25-year-old driver was taken to Ipswich hospital with serious injuries.

The second driver, a 37-year-old man, also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra hospital while a 29-year-old female passenger from the same car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
