Qld man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to shoot another man during an argument at a house north of Brisbane.

It's alleged the 37-year-old accused shot at the man, who was known to him, during an argument at a house in Warner about 12.50pm on Wednesday.

An emergency situation was declared and a number of streets around the house closed while police negotiators attempted to make contact with the alleged shooter, who turned out to no longer be inside the home.

He was later found at a nearby house and arrested.

No one was injured during the incident.
