Qld man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shot was fired during an altercation in southeast Queensland.

A baseball bat was used and a gun fired during the incident in Kingston, which broke out between four men and one woman in the early hours of February 15.

The group of people knew each other.

After continued investigations police charged the 23-year-old man with multiple offences, including two counts each of attempted murder, wilful damage and possessing weapons.

He is due to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.
