Qld man charged with abducting child

A man who allegedly abducted a three-year-old boy on the Gold Coast has been charged by police.

Police say the boy was taken from a Hope Island business by the 33-year-old Coombabah man on Thursday but was found at Coolangatta later that night.

The man was charged with child stealing, entering premises, committing an indictable offence and contravening a domestic violence order and was due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.
