Qld man charged over golf club assault

A Queensland man has been charged over an alleged brutal assault of another man with a golf club during a fight at a Boonah house, southwest of Brisbane.

It's understood the golf club broke in the attack which saw a 32-year-old man taken to Boonah Hospital on Saturday night for treatment for arm and neck injuries.

A 38-year-old Dugandan man has been charged with with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and enter dwelling with intent, and will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
