Qld man charged over attack on woman

An Ipswich man is facing torture and assault charges after an alleged domestic violence incident.

It's alleged the 20-year-old tried multiple times to choke and strangle a 19-year-old woman and threatened her with a knife at a home in the Ipswich suburb of Churchill on Wednesday.

He'll appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday, charged with assault and torture charges, and contravening a domestic violence order.
