Qld man charged after house, car shot at

A man accused of shooting at a house and car in Townsville has been charged.

The 25-year-old Bohle Plains man allegedly damaged the car in Kirwan early on Monday morning.

It is also alleged he shot at a house in the same suburb sometime between November 27 and November 30.

He has been charged with numerous offences including acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and discharging a weapon in a public space.

He was arrested on Wednesday, more than four hours after police appealed for public assistance amid concerns the man could be armed.

A weapon has been located, a police spokeswoman told AAP.

The man is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on Thursday.
