Lime scooters might be the latest transportation craze across Brisbane, but one man has learned the hard way that road rules still apply.
A Lime scooter rider was charged with drink driving on Saturday after allegedly returning a blood alcohol concentration of 0.174 per cent - 3.5 times the legal limit.
The 43-year-old Newstead man was arrested on James Street after riding the scooter on the road, without a helmet and failing to stop at a red light, and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 6.
