Qld man attacked with bats, hammers

A man has been attacked by six men armed with baseball bats and hammers who broke into his southeast Queensland home.

Police say the 25-year-old suffered minor injuries to his arm after the men, who were known to him, entered his house and a scuffle ensued on Wednesday afternoon.

The group fled the scene in a vehicle.

One of the men, a 25-year-old, has since been charged with assault and burglary and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Police are still searching for his alleged accomplices.
