Qld man and woman crime spree charges

A man and woman are facing a string of charges after a crime spree and separate high-speed police chases north of Brisbane.

On Monday the man allegedly robbed a motorcycle dealer in Caboolture and less than an hour later he threatened a woman working in a grocery store with a tomahawk and stole her car.

Around two hours later police say they spotted the man driving alongside another stolen car, driven by a 19-year-old woman.

The cars split up and police used spikes to try and stop the car being driven by the woman but they failed to stop her and the chase was called off.

A short time later, the speeding car crashed and flipped on its side. The woman managed top escape but was found nearby by a police dog.

She was charged with a number of offences including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Police say a 23-year-old man was arrested after another car chase early on Tuesday.

He is facing 24 charges, including armed robbery and driving without a licence.
