Qld man accused of kidnapping ex-partner

A man has been charged with abducting his ex-partner at gunpoint in Caboolture, north of Brisbane.

The 32-year-old allegedly broke into a Gilbert Street house on Tuesday morning and threatened the 18-year-old woman with a gun.

She was then forced into a car outside the home and taken, relatives had told police.

She was found at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast on Thursday night.

The man has been charged with various offences, including torture, deprivation of liberty, dangerous conduct with a weapon, possession of a weapon, unlicensed driving and breach of bail.

He is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.
