Queensland mail worker stole Xmas gift cards: police

A postal employee in Queensland has been ordered to face court over allegations she pocketed gift cards being sent in Christmas mail.
The 46-year-old Longreach woman allegedly stole 22 gift cards from Christmas letters and cards in December.
She was caught when a person approached police and complained their gift card had not arrived.

When police investigated they allegedly found the assorted cards in her possession.
She has been charged with one count each of stealing, fraud, and possessing tainted property.
The woman will appear in the Longreach Magistrates Court on February 10.
