Qld LNP defector called on for donation

The Queensland opposition has begun fundraising ahead of a looming state election, circulating a slick video that calls on recipients to "Get rid of Labor".

Emails containing a link to the campaign ad were sent on behalf of Liberal National Party president Gary Spence on July 31 and again on September 1.

Among the recipients of the fundraising material was Buderim MP Steve Dickson, who left the LNP to join One Nation in January.

The 70-second clip slams Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk's government over the state's unemployment, her party's "flip flop" on Adani's proposed mega coal mine, increases to the cost of car registration and cost of living.
