QUEENSLAND'S MID-YEAR FISCAL AND ECONOMIC REVIEW:

* Net debt will rise from $74.1 billion in 2014/15 to $79.6 billion in 2018/19

* General government debt to rise from $37.9 billion this financial year to almost $41 billion in 2019-19

* Treasurer Curtis Pitt says his measures will cut $10.6 billion in debt by 2016-17

* The government will cut $1 billion in debt and $1.45 billion in future interest repayments by shifting debt owed by the state-owned Gladstone and Townsville ports and SunWater from the state's books to their own books

* Power networks Energex and Ergon will be merged to save $680 million

* Merged Energex-Ergon headquarters will be in Townsville

* Power generators CS Energy and Stanwell won't be merged after legal advice suggests it could be anti-competitive but they will also be made more efficient

* Expanded cabinet will cost an extra $6 million a year, to be paid for by a reduction in government advertising, contractors and consultants.
