Qld driver crashes into rider during chase

A speeding driver has crashed into a motorcycle rider during a police chase in Brisbane.

The light-coloured sedan was spotted travelling at "excessive speed" at Eagle Farm on Wednesday night, police say.

The car sped over the Gateway Bridge before colliding with a motorbike as it ran through a red light exiting the motorway.

The car then drove off, with police urging anyone who may have seen it to come forward.

The rider of the motorbike, believed to be aged in his 40s, escaped with minor injuries.
